Supervision provides the opportunity for practitioners to:
confidentially review and reflect on your work with an independent, trained professional
develop skills and strategies;
receive objective feedback;
check in on decisions made in the course of work and
have a space to offload and express personal responses that arise through your work.
What to bring to supervision? The sessions are yours to use as you wish, there are no hard and fast rules as to what you might want to discuss, however, it may include:
Situations or incidents that caused you upset, have you thinking or that are coming up and may be challenging
An event that went particularly well - successes should be both celebrated and learned from
Staff or management issues impacting on you and or your work
Client case work
Areas of responsibility or stress that influence your work
Personal/Professional development planning
Cost: $90 (inc gst) per 1 hour session NSNZ Mentoring: $50 per 1 hour session
